When the heat comes, we run searching for refreshment, splashing and soaking ourselves in His good gifts. I turn another page in the gratitude journal, my cup full to overflowing...
Wet, grass-clipping-covered children.
Just hosing them off - a summer shower.
Colorful towels drying on the line.
Watching the flowers perk up after a good soaking.
Godly, fun, energetic camp counselors.
Pizza at Faccia Luna with four dear friends.
Laughing so hard you cry.
A lunch date with my husband.
And his willingness to sit outside a dressing room.
Stacks of clean laundry. Carefully folded by Will.
When my wise husband says around six o'clock, "Let's just order pizza."
Summer rest and refreshment.
Day by day, showered by His grace.
The LORD will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
Beautiful. Your daughter looks like she is flying over the water! Great list.ReplyDelete
Jennifer- I love the list and the pic of your daughter in the sprinkler! Thanks for sharing it. Blessings!ReplyDelete
Love it, love it, love it all! Especially sprinklers and laughter and husbands who care enough to see (and meet) our needs... like pizza for dinner on a hot summer's night :)ReplyDelete
Wishing you a delightfully *cool* week ahead-- they're saying only 80 degrees tomorrow. Doesn't that sound delicious??!
