Well-Watered : 1000 Gifts

When the heat comes, we run searching for refreshment, splashing and soaking ourselves in His good gifts. I turn another page in the gratitude journal, my cup full to overflowing...

0459
Clean water.

0460
Sprinklers.

0461
Wet, grass-clipping-covered children.

0462
Just hosing them off - a summer shower.

0463
Colorful towels drying on the line.

0464
Watching the flowers perk up after a good soaking.

0465
Godly, fun, energetic camp counselors.

0466
Camp-tired kids.

0467
Pizza at Faccia Luna with four dear friends.

0468
Easy conversation.

0469
Laughing so hard you cry.

0470
Gelato.

0471
A lunch date with my husband.

0472
And his willingness to sit outside a dressing room.

0473
Stacks of clean laundry. Carefully folded by Will.

0474
When my wise husband says around six o'clock, "Let's just order pizza."

0475
Summer rest and refreshment.

0476
Day by day, showered by His grace.

The LORD will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.

Isaiah 58:11

  1. Beautiful. Your daughter looks like she is flying over the water! Great list.

  3. Love it, love it, love it all! Especially sprinklers and laughter and husbands who care enough to see (and meet) our needs... like pizza for dinner on a hot summer's night :)

Wishing you a delightfully *cool* week ahead-- they're saying only 80 degrees tomorrow. Doesn't that sound delicious??!
