The Swing

The Swing
by Robert Louis Stevenson

How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!

Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
River and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside--

Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown--
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!

For her poetry memorization this week, Hannah created a watercolor visual to hold when she presents her poem (to Dad). She worked on this painting all week and is so pleased with it! Here she is practicing... irritated at my camera. : )

  2. Wow what a great job. Esp for her age, you have a natural artist. I must admit that I feel inspired & intimidated at the same time, when I see what great peices that ya'll produce. We need to do more art, we seem to have so much to do & the art gets pushed to tomorrow. But tomorrow doesn't seem to come along very often, or often enough.
    Thanks for the help.
