Blossoms

The cherry blossoms arrived just in time for Easter.

We spent an afternoon enjoying the blossom-lined streets of a nearby neighborhood...

It's really too bad about those No Parking signs.

Good Friday morning... Blossoms and bagels at sunrise.

at the Jefferson Memorial...

I think we may have started a new family tradition... breakfast under the blossoms.

  1. Love your pictures! We drove through Kenwood after church on Sunday- it was gorgeous! How fun to be downtown with all the blossoms and without all the people! I'm still bummed we did not get to hang out last week, but probably for the best- Me, Max and Lu all came down with Strep Monday! We are FINALLY feeling better. Next week it is back to the grind- trying to catch up on all the school we've missed these last few months!

  3. I LOVE cherry blossoms. They remind me of my childhood. We had a Cherry Blossom tree in our front yard when I was very young and I used to stand under it and watch the pink petals fall on me and imagine I was a princess!

  6. Gorgeous pictures! I love the third one down - the blossoms just growing out of the bark, the texture of the bark, the slight pink and the green - beautiful! Thanks for sharing God's beauty with us!

  8. You live in such a fantastic place! Surrounded by both history and the amazing artistic hand of God:). After the winter you endured, Spring must seem all the more glorious!

My husband and I will be running in the Army Ten Miler up your way in Oct. Funny how I don't know you, yet because I know you live where we'll run, I think of you ... and I am encouraged in many, many ways.

To God be the Glory, mk
