Life of Faith

Encouraging my heart this morning....

Heidelberg Catechism, Question 26.

What believest thou when thou sayest,
"I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth"?

Answer:
That the eternal Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (who of nothing made heaven and earth, with all that is in them; who likewise upholds and governs the same by his eternal counsel and providence) is for the sake of Christ his Son, my God and my Father; on whom I rely so entirely, that I have no doubt, but he will provide me with all things necessary for soul and body and further, that he will make whatever evils he sends upon me, in this valley of tears turn out to my advantage; for he is able to do it, being Almighty God, and willing, being a faithful Father.

  1. Thanks for posting this today. Sometimes I need a reminder that he is in control. He will provide and His will is perfect.

By the way...You take beautiful pictures of your children.

  2. How does one comment to a stranger without coming across as a total psycho/stalker? Regardless...I found you via Debbie's blog (this is the life) and when I came to your site the first thing I thought was, "Oh wow, we are so gonna be BFFs, this Jennifer & I." Because I love your music selections. Joshua Radin? Amos Lee? Alison Krauss? Three of my faves. (And funny sidenote--my 6 year old daughter said, upon hearing "Sweet Pea", "Mommy, this is from the commercial where that girl takes her bear everywhere." I still don't know what she's talking about, but she sure does!)

Was drawn in by the music, then hung around to read awhile. Hope you don't mind. Nice to "meet" you, by the way...I'm Leigh Anne!
