Resurrection Rolls

These were a big hit!

Ingredients:
one package crescent rolls
eight large marshmallows
melted butter
cinnamon sugar

Preheat oven to 350. Divide crescent rolls into eight triangles (the dough represents the cloth Jesus was wrapped in for burial). Dip marshmallow (representing our sweet Savior) into melted butter and then cinnamon sugar (representing the oils and spices used to anoint Jesus' body). Wrap the coated marshmallow tightly in the crescent roll. Bake in oven (tomb) for 10-12 minutes. Remove rolls, allow to cool. Roll will be puffed up, but EMPTY!

"a special treat"

Hannah and Will got to bed at 8:00, and Hannah (my new little reader) reads in her bed until 8:15. Tonight she pulls me aside during teeth brushing time to ask if she could have "a special treat" and have Will join her for her extra reading time. You want to snuggle with you little brother and read to him? Sweet girl, you can indulge in this sort of "treat" whenever you like.

Jumping in

I had been standing at the end of the diving board for months. The water looked so attractive. Jumping seemed like the right thing to do, albeit bold. But I was dry, comfortable, secure. It was easy to stay on the diving board and just contemplate the water, read books about it, pray and mull over all it could be. But I had to make a decision. Our re-enrollment contract was due. Should I send her back to this wonderful, private, Christian school for first grade? Should I send in the application for Will to enter Pre-K next year? Or should I jump off and do what I felt God leading me to do - homeschool?

I jumped. More like I was pushed (lovingly and wisely)...by my husband who is blessed with the ability to make big decisions easily. Me - not so much. I would have stood there for years.

Here we go.

Hello!

Welcome to my blog. I created this in hopes to have a place to chronicle life, be creative, think out loud, connect with others...especially family. Enjoy.
